Introducing My New Blog Series: Sewing My Dream Capsule Wardrobe from Scratch as a newbie

Hey there, fab peeps! I'm here to announce the launch of my latest adventure on this blog, where I'll be taking you along on my journey of creating the ultimate capsule wardrobe. As a newbie in the sewing world, I'm beyond excited to explore this fascinating craft and finally have a wardrobe that I can say, "Woo, I have something to wear today!"

I will, no doubt, make a lot of mistakes, so I will make sure to document my failures so you don't have to make the same mistake. But also, feel free to give me some feedback. I am ready to learn the tricks and tips from the experts.

Why Capsule Wardrobe? Why Sew?

Simply because I always feel like I have nothing to wear, and the idea of simplifying my closet and having a collection of clothes that I can mix and match without much effort is a dream. I also believe I have a hard body shape to style as I have a large bust with a slight chubby belly that makes me feel like a balloon when i wear clothes. I'm just not comfortable with my body. I just wanna look chic without even trying. And since I'm in my phase of wanting to embrace an eco-friendly approach on a budget, I opt to start sewing my own pieces instead of buying them. Also nothing fits me perfectly off the rack. I always have to buy larger on top and cinch in the waist sometimes.

Goals That Set My Heart Aflutter!

Before diving into my sewing extravaganza, I need to set some goals and do research before starting anything. My reason is that I actually don't know what looks good on me and what my body type is. I believe it is the first step in creating an effortless wardrobe. My mission is to create a wardrobe with essential staple pieces that can adapt to any occasion. As a beginner, I am totally stoked about learning new techniques and honing my sewing skills along the way.

After I've spent endless hours sewing, I will unleash my masterpiece. I'm bubbling with excitement to showcase my completed wardrobe. It will probably not end with just a capsule wardrobe. I will like to start making other items to showcase my unique style when I find out what it is.
